James Porter is one of a small breed of young DJs proving a hit in his native Chester and resident/promoter of the city’s only electronic night Beyond The Breaks.
A city starved of quality amid the mass of popular house and cheesey pop, BTB is an oasis of Breakbeat, Electro-Funk and Techno that has seen the likes of Mark Barnes(Freak) and Magik Kingdom tear up the joint in trademark style.
Along with hosting a succesfull night James has also been billed with some top drawer acts over the last 12 months. Support slots for the likes of the Plump DJs and Jon Carter do not come along often and appearances at Freak, Planet Of The Breaks and Disted Twisco are among the highlights.
