The Ralfe Band

“Its my favourite record at the moment” Mark Radcliffe
Welcome to the wonderful, surreal world of the Ralfe Band. Their twisted folk ruminations conjure up a dreamlike land that Terry Gilliam would be proud of…
‘Albatross Waltz’ is the first single taken from their forthcoming debut, a jumble sale journey through ever changing moods, atmospheric instrumentals and strange songs documenting the travails of a confused and beleaguered nomad. Such a scattered explanation hints at the marvellous confusion of Ralfe Band’s music, as it moves from lazy to frantic, familiar to strange, from Eastern Europe to America and back.
Ralfe Band are already picking up a collection of fans including Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens, Tom Robinson and Chris Coco. It’s available on limited 7″ vinyl only…
“Moon will rise, moon will fall. Moon will rise and fall but no-one sees me crawl along your darkened hall. In your room amidst the gloom I can see geraniums are in bloom while you sleep in the afternoon. Dogs will howl and as you sleep I lay a towel upon the body of the freak who died in your arms last week. A hurricane is on its way, you can see the apple trees begin to sway while the nuns forgot to pray. “
